I’ve talked extensively about my husband and our three kids. I’ve probably mentioned our two cats. And we acquired a dog recently. But there’s a member of our family that I’ve failed to include. I was kinda hoping when we moved this summer he’d remain at our former residence. Unfortunatly he seems quite comfortable with us. The feeling is NOT mutual. You see, I don’t really like him all that much.

He’s always sneaking candy and leaving the wrappers in the middle of the living room floor. Or he plants the wrappers in the older boys pockets and under their pillows. He KNOWS food isn’t allowed in the living room, or in their bedroom but that only seems to encourage him.

He scatters their shoes all around the house. Sometimes he’ll shake things up and toss in a lone, rather gross sock.

He plugs up the toilet in the middle of the night. He leaves lights on. He eats food from the fridge. He pulls pages from books, drops jelly on the counter & leaves it to dry into a sticky mess. He shoves the remote between couch cushions and wads up homework pages to shove under random pieces of furniture.

We call him Fred. I imagine him to look something like this.

He’s a sneaky little fella though because OBVIOUSLY none of our boys are guilty! Just ask them.
